Q. Nice third round 63. How would you assess your round?

CARSON YOUNG: I mean, did everything pretty good today. Obviously 9 under you have to do everything pretty well. Holed some nice long putts today, kind of kept some momentum going. Drove it nice and overall hit my irons really nicely today as well.

Q. What's it like when you know there's scorable opportunities, saw Nick Dunlap, Sami Valimaki round 1, and today looking at the leaderboard Garrick Higgo, trying to chase those numbers, is that something like where there are opportunities where you kind of have to birdie?

CARSON YOUNG: It feels that way, especially the par 5s out here, you want to take advantage of those. And yeah seems like scores are always low and got to take advantage of those easy holes when you get there. I feel like I've done that pretty well this week. Just a couple shots, like everybody probably, that I would like back with some wedges that I made a bogey with or two. But yeah, this is a course where you've got to go low and see if we can do it again tomorrow.

Q. The birdies, any one stick out in particular from the round today?

CARSON YOUNG: Not necessarily. I mean, it's always nice to birdie the last two, kind of keep the momentum going into tomorrow. Kind of the three, fourhole stretch there, what was it, 10, 11, 12 yeah, the birdie on 12 I didn't expect. I kind of missed the green long left on the fringe and had like a 30foot putt that somehow went in, wasn't expecting to make that or really trying to make it, so that was nice.

Q. Mentioned keeping the momentum going into tomorrow. Right now just one stroke off the lead. What's that mindset going into final round?

CARSON YOUNG: Same old, same old. Just keep doing what I'm doing and just focus on playing my game and not looking at the leaderboard too much or worrying about others. Yeah, I'm excited about it because last year I finished second here and missed out by one in a playoff. Yeah, kind of feels like revenge here to be in the final group again. I'm excited to see if I can break through this time.

Q. What do you remember specifically from that final round Sunday last year?

CARSON YOUNG: I remember making a lot of birdies. I think I shot maybe 7 under and I didn't do anything bad necessarily, there was maybe one or two putts I would have liked back. But Austin just went out there and won it for sure, he shot 9 under I think. If I can just play like I did last year honestly, it will put me in good position.

Q. And down to the final three weeks, big opportunity tomorrow, but what would it mean to stay within that top 100?

CARSON YOUNG: Yeah, I mean, it would suck to lose my job, that's for sure. Striving for that top 100 absolutely. Yeah, I try not to think about it too much. I'm going to be fine no matter what. I've got a great family and I'm doing the best I can, so I can't be too upset about whatever the results are. Yeah, I'm just excited to have a chance to win in golf tournament right now and we'll work on the rest later.

Q. Fifteenth hole's been playing tricky.

CARSON YOUNG: Yeah, that pin's tough. I remember that pin from last year. I just know I hit a great drive and actually had like a sand wedge into it, and can't go long or left and it's a wild green. I just stayed disciplined, didn't wasn't trying to get it to the hole, just played it out right and short and left myself a 25, 30footer. I'm happy with par there for sure.

Q. Setting aside a couple of bogeys, it was a pretty great day out on the golf course. What stood out to you?

CARSON YOUNG: Yeah, I feel like the putting stood out today. Made a lot of nice putts for birdie, especially had a stretch there where I made three or four birdies in a row. Was making some nice long putts, drove it better today. The bogeys the past two days have been a stray drive, which is what I've been struggling with the past few weeks. Been working on driver really hard, but still hitting my irons well and yeah, made a lot of putts today and hit it close.

Q. Seems like that hard work is paying off. You've had a mixed bag of results in the regular season, find yourself on the outside looking in of the top 100 of the FedExCup standings. How do you set that aside and just focus on the task at hand?

CARSON YOUNG: Yeah, I mean, I came into this week, I've had good results here in the past and so yeah, you've just got to keep plugging along and doing the best you can. I've been putting the work in for sure. My wife will tell you I've been hitting probably way too many balls just trying to figure it out and give it one last hurrah here at the end with three tournaments left. Yeah, I can't think about the end results, or try not to. It still keeps creeps in every now and then. Yeah, I'm just doing what I can and just playing the best I can.

Q. Speaking of your wife Riley, she gave birth to your first daughter, Rosie, eight months ago. What's girl dad life like?

CARSON YOUNG: It's incredible. She's the best, she's so sweet. I miss them already and hopefully they're watching this right now and I'll see them in a couple weeks at Sea Island, I can't wait.
